Palliative Care Segment on National Public Radio (NPR) Tomorrow - 8.24.10




The Diane Rehm Show will feature a segment on palliative care in the wake of The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) study (Story Here)  and the recent article by Atul Gawande, MD (Story Here)  featured in The New Yorker.
 
The segment will include interviews with a panel of experts including: Diane E. Meier, MD, director of the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC); Atul Gawande, MD, staff writer for The New Yorker, surgeon and associate professor at Harvard Medical School; Jennifer Temel, MD, lead author of the NEJM study; and Christina Tate, a palliative care nurse practitioner at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University.
 
This segment is scheduled to air on National Public Radio: The Diane Rehm Show, Tuesday, August 24, from 10-11 am ET.
